We have the pleasure of working with @corrida_boulder delivering weekly arrangements to their beautiful space! This week we focused on a St. Patrick’s Day vibe featuring hues of chartreuse, purple, and white. Can anyone guess what the purple bloom is? Comment below if you have a guess!

We love being given the freedom to create a designer`s choice arrangement! It gives us the flexibility to pick the best bits at the market (peep the lilac & snowball viburnum), plus is often a welcome creative exercise for our designers to get a lil funky!

Eat a Trader Joe`s Everything Sammie Cracker & Make a Traditional Ti Leaf Lei with Operations Director, Zoë!
[1] freeze and thaw your ti leaves to make them more pliable (you`ll need about 2-3 leaves per lei)
[2] cut along the spine of the leaf to divide into 2 pieces
[3] tie the ends of two pieces together in a simple square knot
[4] begin twisting each piece as we progress through a traditional cordage technique. Zoë is twisting each leaf clockwise before overlapping the strands counter-clockwise
[5] twist in additional elements if you care to, Zoë is adding a dendrobium orchid bloom to hers!
[6] leave a bit of a tail to twist in your next ti leaf half, no need to knot here
[7] continue through about 4 segments; Ti leaf leis are traditionally left open and should reach to about your belly button
[8] tie off your tails and wipe `er down! they get a lil juicy
[9] custom dictates that you drape a lei on the person of honor and give them a kiss on the cheek! Here, Zoë adorns our designer & shop lead Nicole with a hypericum, spray rose, and dendrobium orchid lei
